Dr Martin Kunzemann (State Exams Hanover MRCGP Reg 1990) – Male

Dr Kunzemann is our longest serving GP and also provides a dermatology clinic at Arndale House one day a week as part of his special interest. This means his appointments are generally in great demand and can be booked up more quickly than other clinicians. If your problem is urgent, you may wish to see another Doctor or Prescribing Practitioner as we all work very closely together. Dr Kunzemann also provides a regular Minor Surgery Clinic and occasionally provides sexual health clinics. Dr Kunzemann also works closely with the NOAH enterprise and provides GP services to homeless and hard to reach patients.

Dr Mazhar Hussain (MB BS (London) Reg 1998) – Male

Dr Hussain has been working with us for many years now and has become incredibly popular with patients during this time. He has a special interest in Ears, Nose & Throat (Otolaryngology) and also provides a regular Wart Clinic.

Dr Sudha Maroju (MB BS University of Health Sciences Reg 2005 MRCGP DCH) – Female

Dr Maroju has become extremely popular with patients since beginning work with the practice in 2012. She also runs a regular sexual health clinic, where she can provide removals/insertions of long acting reversible contraception including coils and implants.

Dr Tejal Mehta ( MBBS, BSc pharmacology, MRCGP, PGDip Minor Surgery) – Female

Dr Mehta joined the Practice as a Partner in July 2022. She has a specialist interest in Minor Surgery.

Dr Rabia Younas (BSc MBBS 2012, MRCGP , DRCOG ) – Female

She has got special interest in women’s health and menopause. Doing fellowship in health inequalities and interested in improving health inequalities in the Community.

Dr Vu Nguyen ( MBBS (Imperial college) MRCGP, BSc, DFFP, DRCOG) – Male

Dr Nguyen has worked locum sessions for us for the past few years. From April 2024 he will be joining us as a Salaried GP

Dr Chirag Bakhai (MB BS 2009 University of London) Long-term Locum GP – Male

Dr Bakhai has worked in Luton practices for many years. He has a specialist interest in Diabetes Management and is passionate about improving the health and outcomes for patients with this disease. Dr Bakhai also works for Luton CCG and helps to commission health services across the town.

Dr Irshad Shaikh (MB BS 1988 University of Karachi) – Male

Dr Shaikh has worked locally in Luton as a GP for many years. Over the years he has helped us out working locum sessions and is now working a regular weekly session at the practice to support the GP partners.

Dr Vasanthy Ravichandran ( MB BS 1986 University of Colombo, MRCS 1992 Royal College of Surgeons of England, LRCP 1992 Royal College of Physicians of London) – Female

Dr Ravichandran supports us with weekly locum sessions.

Mrs Carole Dickson-Earle (BSc (Hons)) Nurse Practictioner, Extended Formulary Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing, Registered Mental Health Nurse – Female

Carole is our highly trained Prescribing Practitioner. She works very closely with our doctors providing day to day care for our patients. Most of our on-the-day appointments in surgery are with Carole, who deals with patient symptoms presented on a daily basis with great care and by prescribing medication and submitting hospital referrals in the same way our GPs do, if appropriate. Carole is the ideal person to see if you have an infection requiring antibiotics, rashes, muscular pains (including back, neck or chest pain), ongoing aches, pains and fatigue or require contraceptive advice/medication. She also carries out most of our medication reviews for ongoing prescription medication, such as cholesterol, depression and anxiety medication.
